Hogwarts Legacy is full of side quests, side missions that aren't linear to the game's main story, but which you must complete if you want to complete the game at 100%. Many of them are offered to you when you arrive at the castle following your first Hogsmeade expedition. This is the case of the quest entitled A hiding place in the castle, which is presented as a treasure hunt, where you just have to follow a few clues to find a hidden treasure. It is launched by Arthur Plummly, a student of Hufflepuff, with whom you will have a conversation in the tower of Defense against the dark arts, which will allow you to obtain the treasure map on which are drawn three clues which will lead you to the chest: a rhinoceros skeleton, a dragon fountain and a mysterious painting.

Clue N°1: The rhinoceros skeleton
You must start by finding this item as part of the resolution of the side quest A Hiding Place in Hogwarts Legacy Castle. It is located close to where the quest was triggered, you just need to go three floors down by following the stairs next to Arthur. Then, you must take the path on the left and follow the central staircase, always on the left. You will find the skeleton of the rhinoceros just opposite on your right.
Clue N°2: The Dragon Fountain
After finding the rhinoceros skeleton, you will simply have to approach it while waiting to receive a new request on your screen asking you to find the next element, the dragon fountain. The latter is located in the Metamorphosis courtyard of the astronomy wing. It is possible to teleport to this location if you have already activated all the fast travel points on this area. But you can still walk there by setting a landmark.
Clue N°3: The painting
Following the Dragon Fountain, the third clue to find, the painting, is located behind a pair of double doors northwest of the previous landmark. You need to go through these doors and then up the stairs to your right, which will take you to Arthur's map board. As the clue on the map indicates, you must use Accio (represented by the symbol at the top of the frame of the painting), in order to access the secret chest hidden behind.
How does the quest end?
Opening the chest rewards you with the Authentic Historian Uniform: a cosmetic item you can use to customize your character's appearance. Once the mystery is solved, you must return to the Defense Against the Dark Arts tower and report to Arthur. This will complete the quest and you will receive 180 XP and can keep the historian uniform you found in the chest.
