Hogwarts Legacy is packed with side quests, secondary missions that are not linear to the game's main story, but which you must complete if you wish to complete the game at 100%, also allowing you to establish links with NPCs. One example is the side quest entitled The Spectre of Our Love, a mission you can complete by following a mysterious map in the game, which begins when you accept Ollivander's request in Hogsmeade. It's a relatively simple quest, provided you know how to find the mystery on the aforementioned map to get to the desired location.

Beginning of the side quest The Specter of Our Love in Hogwarts Legacy
Before you can start this side quest, you must have progressed in the main story until the quest Ollivander's Legacy, where this wandmaker asks you to find a stolen wand and guides you to the aviary tower, because the person who stole it left a riddle in it.
To deepen your investigation and find the missing pieces of the puzzle in the aviary tower, try to climb higher using the ladder. Thus, you will see a piece of paper on the ground, on the left side of the floor of the tower. This paper is none other than the famous map that will lead you to the side quest The specter of our love.
Unfolding of the side quest The Specter of Our Love in Hogwarts Legacy
To trigger this quest, you need to use a certain map on which the clues about the steps you need to follow are indicated:
- The forest in the left corner with a crescent moon indicates the time (at night).
- The entrance to the Forbidden Forest drawn in the upper right corner of the map indicates the location.
- The wand in the middle indicates that Lumos can spawn candles.
- The bridge at the bottom of the map is where the candles are supposed to spawn after using Lumos.
By following these instructions, you know what you have to do:
- If it is day, you need to change the time to night by going to the Map section.
- Teleport to the Forbidden Forest waypoint, near the entrance, southwest of Hogsmeade on the world map.
- Turn around to see a stone bridge.
- Walk towards the bridge and cast Lumos once you are close enough.
- After that, a clump of floating candles will appear, and you'll need to follow them through the Forbidden Forest until you reach a glade full of candles and a table for two bathed in a romantic glow.
You will suddenly see a chest appear in which you will find an outfit, and this is how the side quest The Ghost of Our Love ends. It will allow you to get 400 Galleons and 180 XP as rewards that will be useful to you in the game.
